Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. A neighbor referred me to Kevin at Bracken’s Painting, and he was incredibly responsive. He scheduled an estimate while I wasn’t home, which was no problem since he was inspecting the exterior.

Kevin called me from the house and offered some excellent advice on caring for our cedar siding and protecting it for the future. His honesty and consultative approach were incredibly refreshing. He easily could have quoted the job and taken my money, but instead told me straight up, “You’ve got another three or four years before you need us.”

That kind of honesty is rare. When the time comes, Bracken’s Painting will absolutely get my business. We need more companies in the Eastern Panhandle like them.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Years and years ago right after we bought our first house, a deck was the first thing that was added. Given that it was a rather large investment, I knew that I wanted to put a good solid stain on it and reached out to Brackens painting (circa 2017) and we applied a gorgeous stain, it held up to the seasons for years and then like many home owners- I neglected the annual maintenance and ended up with a dull and dirty deck. We were planning for a graduation party at the house and wanted everything to be spruced up and knew that the deck was going to be top priority. I reached out to Kevin Brackens directly and we chatted about what I wanted to achieve and since it had been a bit since our last job, once we finished- Kevin handed me off to his team and assured me that the rest of the process would be handled systematically. He wasn't kidding! I was contacted by his admin Jenn with my formal quote and the next steps that needed to be taken to pick out a color and finalize a date. I didn't have any restrictions on when my work could start so I left it up to the team on when would be best window of time with weather in mind. We locked in a date a week out and I started to get the area cleared out so work could commence. The plan was to fully pressure wash the deck one day and then return the next to apply our stain selection. It was a big change of look for us as we needed to use a solid color instead of a semi transparent, but we were excited to refresh the space. On a Thursday morning, a team showed up right on time with Chandler Petty (COO) and we reviewed the planned job details and made sure that everything was ready to go. The crew went to work on the pressure washing and managed to remove years of grime that I didn't think would ever go away. Once they were done and packed up, they made sure to exchange contact information so they could keep me updated on weather and arrival time for the next day. I told them that I had a piece of railing that I needed to cut and install before they could get started and they offered to handle the task before getting started. This was unexpected and really helped out in the end- saving me time and effort pulling out the saw etc. Paint day arrived and I decided to work from the living room and watch the transformation right before my own eyes. The attention to detail and ensuring every possible nook and cranny was fully painted and the application was even and consistent across the whole job. It took a couple of hours and the end result is just amazing!! We got everything back in place and have got lots of comments on how amazing the final product looks. I am a huge fan of Brackens paint and have been since the outfit started providing service for the eastern panhandle. Its always nice to be able to suggest their services to friends and neighbors and assure them that its the best- but even better to be part of a project done in your own space and really be able to confidently say that they are a world class outfit. 10/10 will hire them again EVERY time.

I’ve included pictures of the original stain job from 2017 because both jobs deserve highlighting.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Angie's List. From the initial phone call requesting an estimate to the final walk through, Brackens Painting did a fantastic job in our new home. Kevin and his crew of four arrived on time and immediately started the job. The whole team was a pleasure to work with. They were reliable, they protected our furniture and floors and did a professional job. Even with a foyer that had a 20 foot ceiling they were able to safely paint the walls and ceiling. After the job was over they cleaned up after themselves and the only thing they left was a professional looking job. I would highly recommenced Kevin and his team if you want a job done on time on budget and looks great. We'll be calling them back for additional work we want done.

Verified We had the best experience with Brackens Painting! We were quoted a very fair price, all the work was done in a timely manner, we were kept apprised of the progress and we could not be more pleased with the final outcome. Our cabinets were in good shape, just dated, and we weren't planning to change the layout of the kitchen so painting them was a cost effective option that made a huge impact. Highly recommend exploring painting as an option to total cabinet replacement.

Verified Picture this. A bathroom inhabited by teen boys, and an exhaust fan that cannot possibly keep up with the steam from said children on a daily basis times five years. We truly thought that the whole room needed to be gutted and wall boards replaced. A costly project we couldn't imagine, much less the time involved.

Enter Brackens Painting. Kevin assured me that a good pain job would correct the problems, no demolition needed. Scraping, mudding (wall plaster), cleaning and paint. The cost estimate was on point. John completed the job in hours, and even installed a new fan for us that will prevent future problems. The whole room was ready for moring shower battles the next day, and looks better than when we first moved in.

Quality, efficient work by friendly professionals and no surprise added costs to our original estimate. We will definitely be using Brackens Painting again.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Angie's List. Accurate estimate. Work done with care in a timely manner. Professional and friendly through the whole process. Our bathroom walls and ceiling were cracked, peeling, and discolored from years of an inefficient and under powered exhaust fan. Certain that we needed a full gut and restore project, Kevin assured me that a proper paint job would do the trick. He examined the wall board to see that it was not damages, and offered to install a new fan for us as part of the project. John was kind and professional, the job was completed within hours, and the bathroom fully usable by the next morning. We will certainly be calling Brackens Painting for our next project.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Angie's List. Can't say enough about this crew. We feel like we're living in a brand new house all over again. The Brackens Painting team was on-time every morning, incredibly polite and helpful, accommodating to our family schedule, and very flexible about working around all our belongings as they moved from room to room. They worked amazingly cleanly: there is not a single DROP of paint anywhere it shouldn't be. They left beautiful lines everywhere, with perfect corner cut ins and precise trim work. They took such pride in their work that they even made a precise chair rail line all the way around the dining room, knowing that the paint line will soon be forever covered by new chair rail trim. They provide top quality work in every measure. I can't recommend them enough. The only Angie's List rating I gave less than A "Excellent" was a B "Good" on price, because you definitely *could* pay less with someone else. But with this I truly got what I paid for: a job very well done. Thanks guys!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Angie's List. Kevin was fantastic. He offered a very reasonable estimate and was up front about scheduling, to include dependencies on the weather. His crew was great. They took time to review progress with both me and my wife on several occasions, affording us opportunities to ask questions and express any concerns as the job progressed. On the evening the job was finished, Kevin inspected the work himself and did a final walk through with me. Kevin stands by his crew, and he did not ask for money until the job was done and we were satisfied. My wife and I were very pleased with Brackens Painting and we look forward to them returning for interior paint work next spring.

Great paint job with an outstanding team. Communication was great. I was contacted quickly, estimate was timely and the painters , Nick and Dave , showed up as promised. Bonus - they were easygoing and respectful of my home. I’ve not hired painters before and was happy I chose well. A company that is professional , knowledgeable and easy to deal with !

Great work at a very reasonable price. They painted my garage ceiling and walls and applied an epoxy coating to the floor. The entire Brackens Team was courteous, efficient, and precise. Very pleased with the outcome!

My company hired Brackens Painting to paint a number of offices (some vacant, some occupied) in our firm. The crew was efficient, precise, and clean. Brackens Painting was flexible with my schedule and was able to meet all of my requests. Will definitely bring them back for future projects.

We had the best experience with Brackens Painting!

Picture this.

Kevin and John were excellent. I emailed for a quote and got same day response from Kevin. I was so relieved to get the service done so soon. After setting up the times to have our deck painted John showed up very professional and got the job done. Me and my husband were extremely happy and will call them again for our painting needs.

The entire staff was professional and courteous. The most amazing part is that the job was not only completed promptly and professionally, they also kept everything (dust, paint, etc.) extremely clean. The final result was nothing short of amazing. They also work with a interior consultant who was able to help pick colors and shades that suited our style and decor. I highly recommend them and they were a professional class act the whole way.

I used Brackens to paint my rental house in Va before I sold it, Normally people only use these review places to complain so I just wanted to express my gratitude to them. .
